Delete your account
Last updated: 30 October 2026
You can permanently delete your Lahub account and everything stored in it, at any time, without contacting us. This page explains how, what is removed, and the one thing we are required by law to keep.
1. Delete it yourself, from the app
This is the fastest way and takes effect immediately.
- Open Lahub and sign in.
- Go to Settings.
- Scroll to Delete account at the bottom of the page.
- Type your email address to confirm, enter your password, and tap Delete my account.
If you signed in with Google, you will not be asked for a password. Typing your email address is the confirmation.
2. Or ask us by email
If you can no longer sign in, email support@lahub.app from the address your account uses, with the subject Delete my account. We will verify that the request came from the account holder and complete the deletion within 30 days, usually much sooner.
3. What is deleted
All of it, permanently, with no way for us or you to restore it:
- Your profile: name, email address, phone number and firm
- Every case you have added, with its hearings, orders and history
- Case notes, and any documents you uploaded to them
- Calendar events and quick notes
- Saved bare acts and preferred courts
- Reminder and notification settings, and your registered devices
- Anything in your case bin that has not yet been cleared
Uploaded documents are removed from our file storage as well as from our database. Nothing is archived, and nothing is retained in a backup beyond the rolling period described below.
4. What is kept, and why
If you ever paid for a subscription, the invoices issued to you are retained. We have no choice about this: under section 36 of the Central Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017, we are required to keep our accounts and invoices for 72 months.
Those invoice records are detached from your account when it is deleted. They are kept only to satisfy tax law, are never used for any other purpose, and are not linked to a usable account.
Encrypted database backups are kept on a rolling basis for disaster recovery and are overwritten within 35 days. A deleted account is not restored from them.
5. Your subscription
If you have an active subscription, deleting your account cancels the payment mandate first, so nothing can be charged to you afterwards. If the cancellation does not go through, the deletion stops and tells you, so that an account is never removed while a payment instruction is still live. Cancellation applies to future renewals; see our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
6. Questions
